AGC Education and Research Foundation Announces Dr. Dean Papajohn as the 2024 Outstanding Educator Winner

At AGC's 2024 annual convention, the AGC Education and Research Foundation bestowed the honor of the 2024 Outstanding Educator upon Dr. Dean Papajohn from the University of Arizona.

The Outstanding Educator award recognizes nominees for their academic contributions, their engagement with students beyond the classroom, and their collaboration with industry colleagues. To be eligible for the award, candidates must be full-time faculty members with a minimum of four years of teaching experience in an ACCE or ABET-accredited university construction program or a construction-related engineering program.

Dean was presented with a $5,000 cash award as part of his recognition. Additionally, he selected two students, Estefania Ramon and Leonardo Sanchez, from the University of Arizona to each receive $2,500 scholarships for the upcoming academic year. As a further acknowledgment, Dean was invited as a guest of the AGC Foundation to the annual AGC convention in San Diego, CA, where he received a plaque commemorating his achievement. Nominations for the 2025 Outstanding Educator Award will open in July 2024 and can be accessed at www.agc.org/foundation. The application deadline is November 15, 2024.
