OFCCP Releases New VEVRAA Resources

The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) recently released new resources to help veterans and employers understand the protections under the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) of 1974.

The resources include a series of videos highlighting the importance and benefits of self-identification and informing viewers which veterans are protected by VEVRAA. We also released new Promising Practices and updated our Frequently Asked Questions with new guidance to help employers comply with VEVRAA. The new VEVRAA landing page also includes links to these new resources.

Please also see OFCCP’s existing resources related to VEVRAA:

Under VEVRAA, federal contractors and subcontractors are prohibited from engaging in discrimination in employment practices against veterans and requires employers to take action to provide equal employment opportunity in recruitment, hiring, promoting and retaining protected veterans.
