Meet the Presenter

Fulya Kocak
Director of Sustainability
Clark Construction Group, LLC

With more than 16 years of experience in the construction industry, Fulya Kocak has played a significant role in more than 90 public- and private- sector projects nationwide.  In 2014, Fulya was named a LEED® Fellow™ by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).  Fulya is the recipient of the 2014 Mayor’s Sustainability Award for the District of Columbia (DC) and served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the USGBC National Capital Region Chapter. As a voting member of the DCRA Green Technical Advisory Group, Fulya has been influential in the development of the first green building codes for Washington, DC.  She is a member of the USGBC Materials & Resources Technical Advisory Group and on the committee for ANSI/ASHRAE/USGBC/IES Standard 189.1, Standard for the Design of High-Performance Green Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential.  Fulya also served a recent three-year term on the steering committee for AGC’s Environmental Forum.  Fulya recently authored the LEED AP® BD+C Exam Preparation Guide and associated Study Cards.
