SAFETEA-LU expires on September 30, 2009, and there is insufficient revenue in the Highway Trust Fund to pay for the remainder of 2009.  If Congress fails to enact new authorization legislation on time, it will impact the ability of states to maintain their highway funding levels in 2010.  Your Congressional delegation needs to hear from you to understand the impact loss of funding would have on the highway construction market and jobs in your state.
