Liquid Assets and AGC Raising Awareness of National Water Infrastructure Needs

Thanks to the hard work and persistence of AGC of America, our network of members, and Chapter partners, Liquid Assets: The Story of Our Water Infrastructure is being viewed nationwide.

AGC of America provided $100,000 to Penn State Public Broadcasting for the development of Liquid Assets and co- hosted the  premier of Liquid Assets at the Newseum in Washington, DC.  AGC has also led the charge in garnering the support of key congressional allies to spread the word about this important documentary and its message.

Since October 1, 2008, Liquid Assets has been broadcasted on PBS stations more than 50 times in more than   23 states. AGC of America has distributed over 400 copies of the DVD free of charge to AGC Chapters, members, universities, and government officials.  We are successfully getting the word out about the dire state of our water infrastructure and its critical importance to our quality of life.

The following states have had confirmed broadcasts of Liquid Assets including: California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee,  Texas, Utah , Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.

We are also aware of additional broadcasts are being planned for Arkansas, Arizona, Kentucky, Iowa and West Virginia.

We need AGC members to help ensure that Liquid Assets is viewed nationwide.  If your PBS station has not aired Liquid Assets, learn how you can get involved by visiting www.agc.org/liquidassets. AGC members are showing Liquid Assets in conference rooms as well as sharing Liquid Assets with public officials, legislators and business associates.

If you would like a copy of the Liquid Assets DVD to help spread the word about the importance of our water infrastructure to our national health, safety, and economic well being , AGC of America will provide a copy of Liquid Assets to you free of charge while quantities last.
