Construction Industry’s Election Fund Also Provides the Maximum Contribution to Support the Senator’s Reelection Campaign Noting Her Advocacy for the Industry
The Associated General Contractors of America’s political action committee, AGC PAC, announced today that the committee has endorsed Senator Susan Collins for reelection. AGC PAC officials cited her bipartisan leadership, record of securing critical infrastructure investments, and commitment to supporting Maine’s construction industry and strengthening the state’s economy.
“Senator Collins has a proven record of leadership and delivering results for Maine’s workers, businesses, and communities,” said Jeffrey D. Shoaf, treasurer of AGC PAC. “From helping negotiate the bipartisan infrastructure law and securing investments in Maine’s roads and bridges to supporting small businesses and expanding workforce training opportunities, she has consistently championed policies that strengthen our economy and create jobs.”
In addition to endorsing Senator Collins, AGC PAC has contributed the maximum amount of $10,000 to her campaign. The committee is also encouraging the association’s members in Maine to turn out the construction vote in support of her candidacy in the general election on Nov. 3, 2026.
Senator Collins has played a leading role in advancing major infrastructure investments in Maine and across the country. Over the past five years, her efforts have brought nearly $1.5 billion in federal funding to communities throughout Maine, supporting infrastructure improvements, economic development, and other local priorities. As a key negotiator of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, she helped deliver significant federal funding for Maine’s roads, bridges, broadband, and other critical infrastructure. Now chairing the powerful Senate Appropriations Committee, Senator Collins has continued to deliver for the state, securing more than $428 million for 158 projects in fiscal year 2026, including millions for career and technical education as well as improvements to roads, bridges, and airports.
“Senator Collins understands the important role construction plays in Maine’s economy and the challenges our industry faces every day,” said Kelly Flagg, executive director of AGC Maine. “Her leadership in securing investments in our roads, bridges, and other critical infrastructure, along with her support for workforce development and career and technical education, is helping address some of the most pressing needs facing Maine’s construction industry. Senator Collins has consistently demonstrated her commitment to strengthening our industry, creating opportunities for contractors and workers, and helping Maine’s communities grow and prosper.”
AGC is the association for the commercial construction industry, with more than 250 member companies in its Maine chapter, representing general and specialty contractors, service providers, and suppliers. This endorsement comes from AGC PAC, the national association’s political action committee.
