Construction Industry’s Election Fund Also Provides the Maximum Primary Contribution to Support the Carl Campaign Noting His Strong Support for Key Construction Issues

The Associated General Contractors of America Political Action Committee, also known as the AGC PAC, announced today that it has endorsed Representative Jerry Carl for the United States House of Representatives. AGC PAC officials said they are supporting the Carl campaign because of his strong commitment to the construction industry in Alabama.

“Jerry Carl is a serious leader who delivers for his constituents and state. He supports tax reforms that allow Alabama’s workers to keep more of their hard-earned money, fought unreasonable regulations that burden small businesses, and understands the need to invest in construction education and training programs” said Stephen E. Sandherr, Treasurer of AGC PAC. “Mr. Carl has the experience and track record – in business and in Congress - to protect our economy, our workers, and our country.”

In addition to endorsing Representative Carl, AGC PAC has contributed the maximum amount of $5,000 to his primary election. AGC PAC is also encouraging the association’s members in the 1st Congressional District to help turn out the construction vote in support of his candidacy in the primary election on March 5, 2024.

“Congressman Carl’s support of the Mobile River Bridge and the upgrades of the Mobile Causeway demonstrate his commitment to the infrastructure priorities of Alabama’s first Congressional District,” added Billy Norrell, Chief Executive Officer of Alabama AGC, the association’s Alabama chapter. “He brings the experience needed to address the priorities of not only Southwest Alabama, but the rest of the state.

AGC is the association for the commercial construction industry, with nearly 1,000 member companies in its Alabama chapter, representing general and specialty contractors, service providers, and suppliers. This endorsement comes from AGC PAC, the national association’s political action committee.
