2013 AGC/Alliant Build America Competition is Now Open; Submit Your Environmental Enhancement Project

AGC of America is proud to announce the launch of its premier construction awards season with the 2013 AGC/Alliant Build America competition. For the past two years, AGC has seen an increase in the number of project entries. We hope to see more project entries from AGC member companies. Click here for additional information. Categories for this year’s competition include, but are not limited to: Building ($10 million or less) – New or Renovated Design Build Environmental Enhancement Highway & Transportation – New or Renovated Municipal & Utilities – New or Renovated To qualify for the Environmental Enhancement award, your project must have included environmental enhancement, wetland mitigation, ground water clean-up or required reclaiming or remediating an environmentally contaminated site. Griffith Company’s “Harry Bridges Boulveard Buffer Project” in Wilmington, California won the 2012 Environmental Enhancement category.  The project required renovating a blighted industrial site and transforming it into a recreational venue infused with green technology. AGC member companies in good standing who have completed projects between Nov. 1, 2011 and Nov. 1, 2012 are eligible to apply. For specific competition details, visit www.agc.org/awards.
