Online Awards Submission Site Launches for 2011 Build America Awards

As you know, AGC's Aon Build America Awards program has for decades showcased the best construction projects including environmental excellence. For the 2011 awards, AGC members can now submit their entries for Build America online. Submissions are due November 5, 2010.  For the environmental category, projects should have included substantial environmental enhancements, such as wetland mitigation, ground water clean-up or reclaiming or remediating an environmentally contaminated site (e.g., brownfield, superfund, illegal dumping site and abandoned mine). AGC has created and launched a new awards submission site, which will allow members the capacity to build their submissions over time, pay online and upload supplemental materials. Members can prepare their project with our 2011 submission primer.  The online submission site will assist members in streamlining the process and eliminate the need to prepare and ship a binder for the project. Members will have the capability to upload files and use a credit card for entry fees all at one site accessible from www.agc.org/awards. All Build America projects submitted for consideration must be completed between November 1, 2009 and November 1, 2010. Small and large projects are considered equally-innovation and distinctiveness tend to define the most highly regarded entries and help determine Aon Build America winners. Deadline for submissions is November 5, 2010. Additionally, similar sites will be launched for the Marvin M. Black Partnering Awards, Chapter PR Awards and AGC in the Community.  If you have any questions please review the 2011 submission primer or contact Elisa Brewer Pratt at brewere@agc.org.
