AGC Releases First-of-its-Kind BIM Education Program

The first Building Information Modeling (BIM) curriculum course will be Tuesday, April 7.  Nearly fifty construction professionals will take advantage of the first offering from the BIM Education Program, the latest from AGC and a first-of-its-kind in the industry. The new national curriculum will make it easier for construction firms to lower costs and speed construction work by taking advantage of virtual design and construction technology.  BIM 101 is the first of six planned courses in the program and is designed specifically for construction professionals eager to learn the essential concepts of BIM. The curriculum was developed by AGC in conjunction with leading BIM practitioners, technology firms and educators.  It is designed to serve construction professionals, building developers, owners, managers, architects, engineers and construction product manufacturers. The first course, hosted by AGC of DC, will be offered Tuesday, April 7, beginning at 7:30 a.m.  Media is welcome to attend the event at 2300 Wilson Blvd. in Arlington, Va.
