AGC Co-hosts Free Webinar on Off-Road Diesel Developments Facing the Construction Industry

All AGC chapters and members are invited to participate in a FREE webinar on December 3, 2008 to learn about clean diesel technology, regulations, and requirements facing today's construction industry.  Register online at www.dieselforum.org/webinars. Implementation of EPA’s off-road diesel rule began in 2007 with the requirement to use 500 ppm diesel fuel (Low Sulfur Diesel) in all off-road vehicles.  It will not be long before ULSD fuel becomes the norm and all new vehicles and equipment must meet Tier 4 emissions levels.  The State of California and other entities around the country are also trying to mandate retrofits of existing equipment that’s currently in the field through new state regulations or contract specifications. As contractors and other equipment operators enter an unprecedented period of uncertainty, AGC of America and the Diesel Technology Forum will co-host a webinar to outline technology developments and policy concerns facing the construction industry.  Presenters will discuss:
  • EPA's Nonroad Engine and Fuel Requirements
  • Off-road Retrofit Technology and Potential Funding Assistance
  • CARB’s Off-road Diesel Retrofit Rule (and challenges to it)
  • The Use of Diesel Retrofit Contract Requirements
Please join us on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM (EST).  Visit www.dieselforum.org/webinars to register. For more information, contact Leah Pilconis at pilconisl@agc.org.
