Building Information Modeling

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the process of generating and managing a building information model through the use of three–dimensional, intelligent design information. BIM is driving the construction industry toward a "Model Based" process and gradually moving the industry away from a "2D Based" process.

AGC BIMForum: The BIMForum is a conglomeration of leaders throughout the AEC industry who have joined forces to facilitate and accelerate the adoption of BIM. The BIMForum works with all sectors of the industry to jointly develop best practices for virtual design and construction (VDC) through online forums, useful deliverables, and practical industry conferences.
