The AGC of America Specialty Contractors Council (SCC) greatly encourages development of Chapter Specialty Contractors Councils, in addition to participation on the AGC of America SCC. The creation of SCCs and engagement of specialty contractors at the Chapter level has great potential to enhance opportunities for both specialty contractors and the Chapter itself. If your chapter is interested in creating a Specialty Contractor Council, here are a few resources.
Resource for Developing Chapter SCCs
- A Guide: Simple Steps and Best Practices for Forming an AGC Chapter Specialty Contractors Council. This guide helps and encourages AGC Chapters and specialty contractor members looking to create a Chapter SCC. For those Chapters with an existing Council, this guide may improve the effectiveness of their operation.
- Sample Mission Statements, Objectives, and Programs for AGC Chapter Specialty Contractors Councils. This resource, intended as a supplement to the above guide, contains information submitted by existing Chapter SCCs regarding "what works" and their own structure, goals, and educational programs.
