Description:
In this session, overview of changes between LEED v 2009 and LEED v4.0 will be discussed, including new categories, prerequisites and credits as well as name changes to existing credits and revisions to credit requirements. Cost and benefit of these changes will also be discussed with examples. Integrative Process, Location and Transportation, Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Materials and Resources, Energy Efficiency and Indoor Environmental Quality categories will be addressed. Important dates, such as when LEED v4.o will be the only registration option and sunset date for LEED v2009 will be included. For projects that are pursuing LEED v2009, available LEED v4 credits for substitution will be provided

With more than 16 years of experience in the construction industry, Fulya has played a significant role in more than 90 public- and private- sector projects nationwide. In 2014, Fulya was named a LEED® Fellow™ by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Fulya is the recipient of the 2014 Mayor’s Sustainability Award for the District of Columbia (DC) and served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the USGBC National Capital Region Chapter. As a voting member of the DCRA Green Technical Advisory Group, Fulya has been influential in the development of the first green building codes for Washington, DC. Fulya is also a member of the USGBC Materials & Resources Technical Advisory Group and on the committee for ANSI/ASHRAE/USGBC/IES Standard 189.1, Standard for the Design of High-Performance Green Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential. Fulya also served a recent three-year term on the steering committee for AGC’s Environmental Forum. Fulya also recently authored the LEED AP® BD+C Exam Preparation Guide and associated Study Cards, available here from Amazon.
LEEDv4 has been approved for 1 LEED® Building Design + Construction (BD+C) LEED AP Operations + Maintenance (LEED APO+M) LEED AP Interior Design + Construction (LEED AP ID+C) and Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) Continuing Education Hours.

If you will not be able to attend an AGC of America WebEd program for which you have already registered, you may qualify for a refund of your registration fee or be able to substitute another employee within your organization. If you cancel your registration at least ten (10) days prior to the webinar, AGC of America will provide a full refund. No refund will be provided if you do not meet this deadline, however you may transfer your registration to another employee within your organization. AGC of America will provide all registrants with a recording of the webinar and the PowerPoint slides following the program.
