Effective January 1, 2024, a new law requires many companies doing business in the United States to report information to the U.S. government about who ultimately owns and controls them. Please join us on January 24th when a representative from FinCEN will discuss the beneficial ownership information reporting requirements and how to comply with the law.

Jared Elosta serves as Senior Regulations Advisor at the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. In this role, he primarily works on implementing the regulations required by the Corporate Transparency Act. Prior to joining FinCEN, Jared worked in the private sector building a regulatory advisory business with a former New York State Superintendent of Financial Services. Jared previously spent five years at the New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) as an enforcement attorney. At DFS, he led investigations and enforcement actions related to sanctions violations, consumer protection, and financial crime. He holds a J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, and he lives in Washington, DC.
