100 Construction and Civil Engineering Students Receive $2,500 Annual Award

The AGC Education and Research Foundation (AGCERF) announced that 100 Construction and Civil Engineering students from across the nation will receive $2,500 scholarships to pursue their careers in the construction industry. View a full list of scholarship recipients!

Students were evaluated on their academic standing, but just as important to the Foundation are such things as involvement in student chapters of the Associated General Contractors and summer and part-time work during the school year for construction firms. “The Foundation is looking for students who are not only smart, but committed enough to get practical experience and knowledge about the issues and technology that are driving the construction industry,” said Thomas J. Burleson of Burleson Construction of Johnson City, TN, President of the AGCERF Board of Directors.
