Student Chapter Highlight: Pitt AGC Student Chapter Tours Pittsburgh Airport Modernization Project

Constructors Association of Western Pennsylvania (CAWP)’s Construction Leadership Committee (CLC) organized a field trip for the Pitt AGC Student Chapter, to the construction site of the Pittsburgh airport.

The visit aimed to expose students to real-world applications of their academic knowledge, showcase the complexities involved in large-scale infrastructure projects, and further connect with students interested in our industry.

During the trip, students had the opportunity to witness various stages of the construction process, from roadway and bridge work to structural framework, and interior installations. Interactions with professionals allowed students to gain insights into project management strategies, and the importance of adhering to safety regulations in a construction setting.

Thanks to CAWP CLC Members Dan Bruener, Cameron Cogley, Michelle Olszewski and CLC chair Josh Fetcko, all of Fay S&B USA Construction for their assistance with this project tour.
