AGC of America Board of Directors Approves Policy Statement on Digital Means and Methods

The AGC of America Board of Directors approved the Policy Statement on Digital Means and Methods to support initiatives that standardize how digital information is created, transmitted, and permitted for use in construction.

In particular, the statement supports the following:

  • Contract methods that deliver models and data as legal contractual information, or “Model as a Legal Document” (MALD).
  • Open data standards to facilitate downstream consumption of data, regardless of software or proprietary file types.
