AGC Accepting Proposals for the 96th Annual Convention

AGC of America is now accepting proposals for a limited number of speaking opportunities at AGC's 96th Annual Convention, March 18-20, 2015 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Proposals are due by Friday, July 25, 2014. AGC’s 96th Annual Convention is designed for mid- to senior-level management professionals who work in any of the commercial construction markets: building, federal, heavy, highway and transportation, and municipal and utilities. All educational sessions should be targeted towards these attendees. An important purpose of the Convention is to provide high-quality educational sessions for construction executives and professionals. Our two-day, multiple-track format is focused on topics that reflect current and emerging issues in construction. Special consideration will be given to presentations that are focused on best practices and the unique challenges that construction contractors face throughout the industry. It is suggested that submissions fall into one of the following categories:
  • Process, Technology & Innovations
  • Executive & Financial Management
  • Talent Recruitment & Development
  • Risk Management (e.g. Safety, Construction Law & Contracts, Insurance/Surety)
Submissions that include contractor(s) will receive top priority and consideration. Presentations cannot be sales pitches.  If you are a consultant, product or service supplier to the construction industry, you MUST add a contractor co-presenter.  Submissions that DO NOT include contractor(s) will not be considered, except under extraordinary circumstances. Submission of a proposal does not guarantee inclusion in the Convention schedule. All proposals will be reviewed and the point of contact notified whether or not their presentation was accepted by Friday, Aug. 15, 2014.
