Update on Mandate that Federal Contractors Require COVID-19 Vaccinations

 

Two federal courts have now issued preliminary injunctions against the Administration’s mandate that federal contractors and subcontractors (working directly for the federal government) require many, if not all their employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and the Southern District of Georgia. These rulings put the new federal contractor vaccine mandates on hold, until the courts can decide on the merits of the case itself. As these events unfold, AGC of America continues to prepare to file its own lawsuit against the mandate and has worked with several members on declarations that will reveal how the mandate is actually impacting AGC members.  AGC of America intends to directly challenge the proposition that the mandate – whether a public health or procurement policy – will have that effect.
