AGC of America Prepares Leaders for the Future at the 2019 BuildCon/Joint Contractors Conferences

A great crowd participated in AGC’s 2019 BuildCon held November 7-8, 2019 at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, AZ. The event brought together high-level leaders in the Building construction industry where they gained first-hand knowledge and insight from industry peers on models of collaboration, behaviors, workforce skillsets and ideologies that propel our industry forward.

The first half of BuildCon was a joint event of the Joint Contractor Conferences, bringing together three divisions of AGC of America – Building, Highway & Transportation and Utility and focused on the future of the industry. Opening sessions featured staff of AGC of America including Steve Sandherr, CEO; Jimmy Christianson, Vice President, Government Relations; and Murphy Barrett, Vice President, Congressional Relations, Infrastructure Advancement as they provided a Washington legislative & regulatory outlook for year ahead. Attendees also heard from Keynote, Brian David Johnson, Futurist, Arizona State University and a panel focused on Workforce Development.

The BuildCon break-out sessions included AGC’s owner group, the Public/Private Industry Advisory Council and featured presentations from Target Corporation, Michigan State University, SUNDT and more. For a detailed agenda of this year’s BuildCon please click here.
