On Sept. 9, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to reauthorize the AGC-supported Diesel Emission Reductions Act (DERA), which provides incentive to owners to make a smart investment in their purchase of cleaner and often more fuel-efficient vehicles and equipment. The House bill (H.R. 1768) reauthorizes the program through 2024 by a 295-114 vote. DERA reauthorization now moves to the U.S. Senate, where they will consider their own bill (S. 747) or the House version. AGC will continue efforts to obtain funding for the program.
