Join fellow building contractors at the Building Division Session on Wednesday, March 7, 2017 from 8:30 – 10:00 am. This session includes a “State of the Building Division” presentation where attendees will hear the latest initiatives and successes of AGC’s largest division. There will also be a “Lean Construction Correlates to Better Project Outcomes” presentation where attendees will hear the findings of two LCI sponsored research studies by Dodge Data & Analytics and University of Minnesota. Dodge and the University of Minnesota examined 172 projects across the country to learn from the good to the great and why some projects excel. The research advances the primary goal of increasing owner and supply chain satisfaction with design and construction delivery.
Maximize the Performance of the Pre-Construction Process Through Pre and Post Bid Communication

This collaborative session will focus on the benefits of clear and proactive communication between General Contractors and Specialty Contractors before, during and after the bidding process. The solutions are not one sided, and speakers will explore the challenges from the perspectives of both GCs and SCs.The presentation will begin by considering the “worst case scenario,” and then quickly move into roundtable discussions to uncover and share best practices; all of which can help lead to better contractor relationships and more efficient project starts.
