Call for Presentations Is Open; Save the Date for September 13-14
The Associated General Contractors of America will hold its Construction Environmental Conference (CEC) on September 13-14, 2017, at The Double Tree in Crystal City, VA, located directly across the river from Washington, DC. AGC is seeking proposals from qualified speakers to present on environmental concerns relevant to construction and development.
The CEC hones in on the most critical environmental issues impacting the business of construction, provides management guidance for environmental professionals, and gives context for other construction professionals looking to understand the key concepts and round out their knowledge. AGC invites professionals from related fields within the building and development industries who would find benefit in learning how environmental issues are handled on a project.
The CEC facilitates learning in an intimate setting that fosters valuable feedback, networking, and meaningful face-to-face interaction amongst peers, industry experts and federal regulators. This notice is a call for presentations for a limited number of speaking opportunities. AGC expects 80-100 participants.
Proposals are due by close of business on March 31, 2017. Please use the online form at www.agc.org/enviroCFP. Speakers will be notified as soon as possible whether they are selected to speak. Presentation materials are due no later than August 18, 2017.
Who Attends the CEC?
AGC’s CEC offers all attendees an opportunity to share best practices and learn from experts ---and each other--- about the most significant, relevant, practical, and current environmental topics. Based on prior conferences, AGC expects the prime audience to be made up of emerging and senior environmental professionals who work directly for construction companies or AGC chapters – as well as other professionals who provide environmental services and products to the construction industry. The CEC also provides value to project managers, estimators, risk managers, and other professionals within construction. In addition, AGC intends the CEC to provide insight to professionals in related industries who will benefit from a greater understanding of the key environmental challenges during the construction phase of a project.
