AGC Continues to host Regular PIAC Meetings to Enable Members to be Responsive to Owner's Needs

Thursday, August 18, 2016, AGC hosted a virtual PIAC (Public/Private Industry Advisory Council) meeting featuring Ken Simonson, AGC’s Chief Economist. During the meeting Ken provided a construction spending, labor, and materials outlook followed by facilitated discussion led by the PIAC Chair, Rick Andritsch, Partner/VP, at VJS Construction Services.

The PIAC was established to provide a direct line of communication between private and public owners and AGC of America. The primary mission of the PIAC is to promote dialogue with private and public owners involved in facility construction on issues including owner needs, market trends, industry best practices, and legislation. Through the PIAC, AGC's goal is to foster a construction industry that is more responsive to owners' needs.

The PIAC meets face-to-face twice a year and host virtual meetings in the interim. The PIAC will meet at the upcoming AGC BuildCon 2016 on Tuesday, October 19, 2016. This meeting is open to all attendees. There will be owner representation from organization such as The Home Depot, Target Properties, LDS Church Physical Facilities, Michigan State University, Georgia Building Authority and more. The agenda will include discussions regarding pre-fabrication and modularization, owner performance metrics, and facilitated owner/contractor dialogue.
