Transportation Secretary LaHood to Address AGC Convention

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood is scheduled to address the closing session on Friday, March 25, 2011 during AGC’s 92nd Annual Convention, held in conjunction with the 2011 CONEXPO-CON/AGG tradeshow in Las Vegas, Nevada. Secretary LaHood will address the Administration’s priorities for the transportation reauthorization legislation and other transportation initiatives. Nevada DOT’s Director and AASHTO 2011 President Susan Matinovich will also participate in AGC’s convention and address the highway and transportation Division session on Wednesday, March 23. Two Highway and transportation Issue Forums are scheduled and will feature information on: new tier IV construction equipment, Accelerated Bridge Construction, developments in warm mix asphalt and recycled asphalt specifications, controlling silica dust in milling operations, work zone safety developments.
