Upcoming Webinar Will Examine ‘Winning’ Diesel Retrofit Grant Applications, Lessons Learned

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently awarded a total of $156 million in clean diesel grants in an extremely fierce national grant competition authorized by the Diesel Emission Reduction Act (DERA - part of the Energy Policy Act of 2005) and funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009.  Surprisingly, this unprecedented disbursement of clean diesel funds will support only 13 percent of the approximately 600 clean diesel project applications that EPA received under the National Clean Diesel Funding Assistance Program.  The Diesel Technology Forum is hosting two live Webinars (no charge) on September 2 -- Lessons Learned - A Closer Look at Recent ARRA Funded DERA Projects -- to take a closer look at the Recover Act round of funding.  Stiff competition in the most recent national diesel retrofit grant competition that EPA has sponsored meant many good applications were denied funding.  A September 2 Webinar sponsored by the Diesel Technology Forum will offer an in-depth look at the recent funding round to help applicants better understand what projects were successful, which evaluation criteria proved most difficult and how to improve chances for success in the next round of funding that will be available this fall. Two live sessions are being offered at 10:00am and 1:30pm ET.  Click here to register for the 10:00am ET session.  Click here to register for the 1:30pm ET session.
