AGC Construction Safety Excellence Awards Application Available

On September 25, 2008, AGC sent the CSEA applications to Chapters and members for distribution. The safety and health of the nation’s construction work force is a top priority of AGC and its members. AGC recognizes and rewards safety excellence through two annual awards programs: The Construction Safety Excellence Award (CSEA) and the National AGC Safety Awards (NASA). Participants of the safety programs must be nominated by AGC Chapters and are evaluated on essential elements and elements of excellence. AGC’s CSEA program recognizes companies that have developed and implemented premier safety and loss prevention programs. The program also showcases companies that have achieved continuous improvements and maintenance of their safety and health management systems. All AGC Chapters are encouraged to submit nominations for each division and occupational category. AGC Chapters must submit their nominations to AGC's Safety and Health Services by December 3, 2008. Please contact your local AGC Chapters for the application form (a list of Chapters is available on AGC’s Web site at www.agc.org). All AGC Chapters play a key role during the CSEA process. AGC members are encouraged to submit a completed application to their local Chapter. Members must be nominated by their home Chapter to be eligible. Companies who operate in multiple states must submit their application to their “home” chapter. If interested in applying for AGC's CSEA, please contact your local Chapter for more information or contact Michele Myers at (703) 837-5410.
