Members of the AGC Labor and Employment Law Council (“LELC”) are invited to attend the LELC’s annual Fall Meeting on October 24-25, 2019, at the lovely Vintners Inn in Sonoma County, California. While the primary function of the meeting is to develop the agenda for the LELC’s 2019 Construction Labor Law Symposium and conduct other LELC business (this is not a CLE event), attendees will also have an opportunity to further develop their network of fellow construction labor law practitioners and to become more active in the LELC, all while enjoying the beauty, wine, and other attractions of Sonoma.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Situated on 92 acres of vineyards in Santa Rosa, just 60 miles north of San Francisco, Vintners Inn offers guests a central location to relax, rejuvenate and explore and visit Sonoma County’s spectacular vineyard, coastal, and mountain destinations. This intimate, 78-room luxury hotel boasts beautifully landscaped grounds with courtyards and fountains, a jogging/walking path through the vineyard, a bocce ball court, a luxurious spa, and more.
The LELC has blocked a limited number of guest rooms for meeting attendees. The pretax, nightly group rate is $315, plus a $20 resort fee, for a Courtyard King Room. The cut-off date is October 8, but please make your reservations as soon as possible, as the hotel is likely to sell out sooner. Cancellations must be made directly with the hotel at least 24 hours prior to scheduled arrival to avoid charge.
Rates include a welcome bottle of wine upon arrival. The resort fee covers parking, access to the outdoor pool and fitness center, wireless high-speed internet connectivity, unlimited local telephone calls, in room coffee, access to business center, bocce ball court, and the vineyard trail.
ATTIRE
Casual, business casual, or resort casual is appropriate for Friday’s daytime functions. Business casual or “dressy”/“smart” casual is appropriate for Thursday and Friday evenings. No ties are required for any events. Note that the Thursday evening restaurant prohibits “hats, flip-flops, t-shirts, sweat shirts, sweat pants, tanks, ripped jeans, and hot shorts.”
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
The business session of the meeting will take place on Friday morning, October 25. It will include the planning of the 2019 Construction Labor Law Symposium, discussion of LELC business matters, and, if time allows, a roundtable discussion of current developments in construction labor and employment law. The Fall Meeting will feature additional networking and social opportunities for you and your spouse/guest, as reflected in the tentative schedule of events provided below. Spouses and other guests are welcome to participate in all events other than the business meeting.

Winery Visit and Dinner (Location: La Crema Estate at Saralee’s Vineyard) All Fall Meeting registrants and guests are invited, but advance registration for the function is required. Entrée choice must be made with registration, so please know your selection and that of any guests when registering. The options are Zinfandel Braised Beef Short Ribs, Pan-Roasted Striped Bass and a Chef-Selected Vegetarian option will also be available. The La Crema Estate at Saralee’s Vineyard is a relatively new home for La Crema, an acclaimed producer of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. Nestled on a knoll overlooking the storied Saralee’s Vineyard, the winery’s tasting room and event space are in a renovated historic barn that dates back to 1900. Guests will be offered wine upon arrival and receive a 45/60-min. tour and talk in the barn about the history of the property and La Crema wines. Dinner to follow.
