PURPOSE OF STUDENT CHAPTERS: The purpose of AGC Student Chapters is to provide young professionals with opportunities to learn, observe and develop their skills with current industry leaders.
Our Outstanding Student Chapter Awards are broken up into three categories for student chapters to be awarded for exemplary demonstration of the AGC of America tenants of Skill, Responsibility & Integrity:
OUTSTANDING STUDENT CHAPTER AWARDS:
ELIGIBILTY: Project(s) must be performed during the 2021/22 academic year (August 2021 through May 2022). Projects may be performed as part of a course if student chapter members completed it as a club activity or it could be an additional club activity. Student chapter applicants can apply for more than one award however each award has separate eligibility guidelines (see specific applications for details).
DUE DATE: Deadline for completed applications to be received at AGC of America: 11:59 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022.
JUDGING: Entries will be judged by a committee comprised of AGC of America’s Construction Leadership Council. Each application with be judged in comparison with the other applicants and ranked based on the voting of our judges. It is the applicants’ responsibility to provide sufficient details in your application to showcase your chapter’s skills, accomplishments and successes.
WINNING ENTERIES: Each winning category will be awarded cash prizes and financial support to travel and present their winning projects at the Annual AGC Convention, March 13-16, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
PRIZES: Each winning student chapter will receive a $2,000 cash prize, 4 complementary student registrations and an additional $1,000 travel stipend to attend AGC’s Annual Convention.
