New Rules for Federal Construction: How to Develop an Ethics & Compliance Program (Audio Conference)

On November 23, the federal government disseminated a new regulation requiring most federal contractors and subcontractors to adopt and promote a code of business ethics. Additional requirements include

  • implementing an ongoing business ethics awareness program and an internal control system; and
  • displaying a federal fraud hotline poster or establishing a company hotline.

The audio/web conference sponsored by the Associated General Contractors of America and the Society for Corporate Compliance and Ethics provided straightforward guidance on the new rule, including:

  • its individual requirements;
  • its several exceptions;
  • the deadlines for compliance; and
