Facilitating Building Information Modeling Education

Contractors are being selected, and eliminated, from selection for their ability to utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM). AGC's newly released BIM Education Program highlights competencies essential of BIM users, and aids firms with BIM adoption. The BIM Education Program will be used during this session to guide training professionals in their quest of providing BIM education. Participants will explore how firms are utilizing the power of BIM within the construction industry.

By attending this session, participants will be able to:

• Discuss action steps necessary to bring BIM education into your organization;
• Identify qualified instructors and understand characteristics and experience necessary to educate others on this subject;
• Decide what BIM education is needed for various BIM users; and
• Describe the elements of the BIM Education Program and identify what training is best for your organization.
