AGC's Building to LEED® for New Construction Course
AGC’s Building to LEED for New Construction is a full–day course for the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) 2009 for New Construction and Major Renovations™ that helps contractors navigate through their role in constructing a green building. Construction professionals of all experience levels will benefit from this look at the best practices and potential pitfalls that can arise when building green.
This course will benefit individuals in the construction industry (general contractors, construction managers, and higher-tier subcontractors) currently working on or planning to work on LEED projects. This course is especially helpful for those preparing to use the rating system for the first time. This course is not a preparatory class for the LEED AP® or Green Associate™ credentialing exams.
Offered locally across the country, Building to LEED is focused specifically on the contractor’s role on a LEED v3 project. Learn more about what is covered in this course.
In addition to taking the Building to LEED course at your local AGC Chapter this course can also be offered in-house at construction firms, at construction training schools and joint-apprenticeship training programs and educational institutions. Learn more about how to bring Building to LEED to you and your colleagues.
All Building to LEED courses that follow the course specifications can apply to AGC of America to offer 7.5 LEED Building Design & Construction™ (BD+C) Specific Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) Continuing Education Hours. Learn more.
