Cut-off Date: May 21, 2010 Resort Details: The Zermatt Resort is situated in the mountain village of Heber Valley, Utah. Although only constructed in 2006, the Zermatt Resort is deeply rooted in the area's Swiss heritage. Simon Schneitter emigrated with his family from Switzerland to Utah, finally settling in Midway, because it reminded them of their native Switzerland. The Schneitters operated a small resort in Midway, which is still in operation today. The creator and developer of Zermatt Resort, Dr. Robert L. Fuller, is the great grandson of Simon Schneitter. Dr. Fuller envisioned bringing the beauty of the Heber Valley and the recreational splendor of this unique mountain setting to the public by creating an authentic Alpine Village, designed from examples and components of towns and villages throughout Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. To create and build this AAA Four Diamond Resort, Dr. Fuller took architects, engineers, and designers back to these European countries for the actual design and planning of the resort. Many of the resorts main features were created and carved in Oberammergau, Germany. The Zermatt is an artistic showplace of the elements and history this one-of-a-kind resort reflects. Guests can enjoy superb accommodations, conference facilities, gourmet dining, authentic architecture, 360 degree mountain views, geothermal hot springs, as well as an award-winning day spa, wet and dry saunas, and a state of the art fitness center, all in an incredible atmosphere. Please contact Mike Stark at starkm@agc.org with any questions related to the Conference program or sponsorship, Michelle Jones at jonesm@agc.org with any questions related to hotel and travel, and Rockkie Dunton at meetings@agc.org with any registration issues. Golf TournamentThis year's golf tournament will be held Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Lake Course at Wasatch Mountain State Park. The older of the two Wasatch Mountain courses, the Lake Course offers tree lined fairways, eight lakes and ponds, and is a favorite of golfers of all abilities. Deer, wild turkeys and other wildlife are often seen on the fairways of the Lake Course, which is located approximately one mile from the Zermatt Resort. Complimentary transportation will be provided to the course if you are unable to provide you own. There is a fee of $75.00 to participate in the golf tournament. This covers greens fees and a cart. There will also be golf prizes. When registering, please be sure to indicate if you will need right/left and men's/women's club rental. Club rental is an additional cost and can be paid at the golf course. For those looking for activities other than golf the Zermatt Resort offers several alternatives. The Adventure Haus 2010 Summer Brochure and Off Road Adventure Brochure will highlight the options.
