AGC of America has been the leader in educating construction site supervisors through its Supervisory Training Program (STP) for over 30 years. Developed, updated and field–tested by contractors, the STP curriculum provides skills that are crucial to a project’s success and supplies information every foreman and supervisor must know to make decisions quickly and confidently in the field. The STP Instructor Training Workshop provides essential skills necessary to train these dynamic industry leaders.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Effectively teach adult learners.
  • Encourage interaction among participants.
  • Get the most out of instructor materials.
  • Incorporate visual aids into the curriculum.
  • Prepare for and conduct STP courses.

Individuals who:

  • Want to learn specific techniques used to facilitate and present successful STP courses.
  • Administer STP currently and want to attract more instructors.
  • Want to learn about this highly successful educational program for the construction industry.
  • Want to start STP in your area or at your company.
  • Have just been (or want to be!) selected to facilitate STP.

Following successful completion of this course, participants will have the ability to:

  • Identify adult learning techniques
  • Discuss methods of encouraging interaction among course participants
  • Analyze the elements of STP Instructor’s Guides to get the most value out of them
  • Give examples of additional visual aids that could be incorporated
  • Demonstrate how to prepare for and conduct STP courses.

Program Date, Time and Fees:

The STP Instructor Training workshop will be held on November 4–5, 2010 from 7:30AM to 5:00PM both days. The fee for this course is $375 per attendee. Cancellation policy: Full refunds will be made with cancellations received by October 14, 2010. After that date, a $75 service charge will apply.
