- Construction Leadership & Management Seminars - Bill Krausen of Messer Construction Co. - As the developer of a highly successful leadership development model and AGC of America's Leadership in Construction Workshop, Krausen is uniquely qualified to discuss the essential elements to instituting and being part of a dynamic leadership team. Messer Construction Co. recently was named one of the 2009 "Best Employers in Ohio" by the Society for Human Resource Management Ohio State Council.
- Construction Economics Seminar - Ken Simonson, AGC of America Chief Economist - An overview of the current construction market segments and the outlook for 2010, including materials prices and employment.
- Managing the Risks Associated with Green Construction Seminar - Steven M. Charney of Peckar & Abramson, P.C., who worked on the recently released green building addendum to the ConsensusDocs contracts, will guide attendees through the risks, rewards, pitfalls, penalties associated with working on green construction projects.
- Prepared for the Worst: Contingency Planning for a Project Shutdown and/or an Owner Default - Milton Smith, of McGriff, Seibels, Williams, Inc. and Past CLC Steering Committee Chairman, will address some of the issues related to owner default, including how to spot warning signs of potential problems, considerations to take in to account from an insurance perspective, and measures to take in the event of a default.
