2009 Summer AGC Tax and Fiscal Affairs Committee Meeting

The 2009 AGC Tax and Fiscal Affairs Committee Summer Meeting will be held on Thursday and Friday, June 18-19, 2009 at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

At this two-day event, you will have an opportunity to discuss current issues with tax professionals in the construction industry, and earn up to 10 CPE credits in the process. Highlights of the agenda include a meeting with a professional from the FASB-sponsored Private Companies Financial Reporting Committee and open group discussions on issues that impact the construction industry such as pending FASB actions, GAAP and IRFS differences, 3 percent withholding, tax policy changes in Washington, economic stimulus impacts, and health care reform.

Meeting Registration

There is a $125 registration fee for the 2009 Summer Meeting. This helps cover the costs of the food and reception, and is required by the AGC Executive Board.

The host hotel is The Broadmoor located at 1 Lake Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado. The room rate is $299 per night, plus a $16 per night resort fee, which includes high speed internet access and other amenities. The hotel room cut-off date at this rate is May 25, 2009. Transportation and Airport Information

The Broadmoor is located about 10-11 miles from the Colorado Springs Airport. A typical tax fare is around $20-25 one-way from the airport. There is also a shuttle service from the airport to The Broadmoor, which runs every half hour from 4:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is a Broadmoor Welcome Desk at the airport. To request the shuttle, use the courtesy phone at the desk. Pick-ups after 5:00 p.m. may also be arranged by using the courtesy phone. The cost of the shuttle is $33 round-trip and can be billed to your guest room.

The Broadmoor is located about 90 minutes from the Denver International Airport.
