Education Excellence Awards

AGC created this new, comprehensive awards category in 2008 to recognize the most innovative and collaborative training and development programs. AGC accepts both self- and third-party nominations for these awards, which are presented annually at the fall Training & Development Conference. AGC general and specialty contractor members in good standing, AGC chapters, and individuals employed by these organizations are eligible to apply.

2011 Awards Winners

The 2011 winners were announced during the 5th Annual Training, Education & Development Conference in October in Kansas City, Missouri.

  • Project & Executive Management Training
    McCarthy Holdings of St. Louis, Missouri, for its McCarthy Foundations of Leadership Program
  • Instructor of the Year
    Mark Federle for teaching AGC’s Project Manager Development Program
  • Honorable Mention: Craft Training
    Lee Company of Franklin, Tennessee

2010 Awards winners

The 2010 Winners were announced by AGC Past President Doug Pruitt during a ceremony on October 18, 2010 at the 4th Annual Training & Development Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona. In addition to a crystal award and public recognition of their training program, each winner was asked to participate in a “best practices” breakout session later in the conference.
