Construction Education Committee Meeting

AGC Construction Education Committee Meeting will be held June 9-11 at the Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, VA. The CEC will overlap with the AGC Building Contractors Conference and will host several meetings, receptions and a luncheon. Additionally, the CEC and the AGC Building Division will come together for a joint meeting on June 11, 2009. The goal is promote synergy between the two groups and assist each other in future endeavors.

There is a charge for the CEC/Building Division meeting of $75.00. Golf is not included. If you wish to attend all the Building Division meetings, please register for that event separately.

Room Rate: $239/night, Suites are $359.00-459.00. All rooms are subject to a 15% resort fee (roughly $35.85), plus 7% tax. The Resort Fee includes the following: gratuities for housekeeping staff, valet parking, afternoon tea, use of fitness center and indoor pool, nightly movies, phone access charges and on-property transportation. The resort fee covers all registered room guests as a family, not per person. The bellman and doormen do not participate in the resort charge.

Resort Location: 70 miles north of Roanoke on Route 220 and 170 miles west of Richmond in the Allegheny Mountains of southwestern Virginia. The resort is convenient to Staunton, Virginia and Charleston, West Virginia, and a comfortable and scenic drive from across the Midwest, East, and South. In addition, the resort is about 40 miles away from the historic Greenbrier Valley, West Virginia.

Transportation:

17 miles from Bath County Airport for private and charter flights

American, US Airways, United, Northwest and Delta have direct flights from major cities to Roanoke Regional Airport, which is a 75-minute drive from the resort.

Lewisburg, WV Airport, which is a 75 minute drive, has a limited service via US Airways, United and Delta.

Shenandoah Valley Airport (Staunton, VA), which is a 90 minute drive, has service from US Airways and United.
