Accurately forecasting the cost of future projects is vital to the survival of any business. Cost estimators develop the cost information that business owners and managers need to make a bid for a contract or to decide whether a proposed new product will be profitable. AGC offers a wide range of products, seminars and training programs for the estimating professional.

AGC-ASPE Estimating Academy

AGC in partnership with the American Society of Professional Estimators holds an estimating academy several times a year, this two and a half day course covers current topics like LEED® - Estimating for Green Buildings, Estimating with Electronic Documents, Managing Preconstruction, and Conceptual Estimating. The estimating academy also offers sessions on estimating for specialties, such as concrete and mechanical. The 2008 AGC-ASPE Estimating Academy will be held at Harrah’s Casino & Resort in Las Vegas, NV, March 8-10, 2008.

AGC Estimating Online Courses

AGC's Online Institute provides a variety of online training covering the basics of cost estimating to construction scheduling. Two new courses provide examples applicable to all construction estimating, with a focus on building or heavy/civil construction.
