Funding
- Total: $1.1 billion
- Grants-in-aid for airports for procurement, installation and commissioning of runway incursion prevention devices and systems at airports ($1.1 billion)
Deadlines
- Funds expire September 30, 2010
- 50% of funds must be made available within 120 days of enactment
- 100% of funds must be made available within 1 year of enactment
Additional Information
- Funds NOT subject to apportionment formulas, special apportionment categories, or minimum percentages
- Priority given to projects that can be completed within 2 years of enactment
- Priority given to projects that serve to supplement and not supplant planned expenditures from airport-generated revenues or from other State and local sources on such activities but, state matching requirements are waived
