The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC of America) will return to Naples, Florida, on February 1-4, 2010, for its next round of annual meetings on surety bonding and construction risk management. These meetings provide a unique opportunity for the thought leaders in the construction, surety and insurance industries to meet and interact with each other. The schedule includes a combination of plenary sessions, breakout sessions and seminars intended to encourage attendees to share information on the latest developments in all three industries and the lessons being learned from them. Attendees will have a chance to:
Separate Meeting for In-House CounselIn conjunction with these meetings, and on the day preceding them, AGC of America will also hold its next meeting exclusively for the lawyers serving as in-counsel for the general and specialty contractors in the AGC family. The exact dates for that meeting will be January 31 - Febrary 1, 2010. Its agenda will span the practical as well as legal matters that in-house counsel have to address, including the best ways to make use of the limited resources at their disposal. Who Should AttendAGC's annual meetings on surety bonding and construction risk management are open to all AGC contractors, including all general and specialty contractors, and their in-house risk managers, lawyers and other senior executives. They are intended to benefit any contractor with an interest in taking its management practices to the next level! AGC of America also encourages the many surety and insurance professionals among its associate members to attend and participate in the meetings. Indeed, these professionals have long found that the meetings provide a rare opportunity to learn more about their clients, and to contribute their unique perspective on where the construction industry is heading. Outside lawyers and chapter staff also have much to contribute and gain! Again in 2010, the registration fee for AGC's annual meetings on surety bonding and construction risk management will be $350.00, and the fee will include three receptions and breakfast on each day of meetings. The registration fee for the separate meeting exclusively for in-house counsel will be $200.00. That fee will include a reception on the evening that precedes the meeting and both breakfast and lunch on the day of the meeting. Four Ways to Register
